"This is an official statement from the band formerly known as GROTESQUE. The band has ceased to exist due to internal differences regarding the future of the band. Therefore the band can not perform on the bill at the planned gig in Gothenburg. We feel sorry for the people involved in the booking and arranging of the gig in Gothenburg. They have done their best to handle this professionally. No shadow shall be cast upon them. We would also like to take the opportunity to apologize to the people looking forward to this gig (some might even hold tickets to it, sorry!). As the situation is right now a professional performance would prove to be impossible. The fact that the gig was called off so late is a sad case of the internal differences, in their turn, leading to misunderstandings within the band. Kristian and Tomas (a.k.a. Necrolord and Goatspell) will continue their work in their other band THE GREAT DECEIVER. We will all have to cherish the memories we have of the band during its first phase.
